Welcome to your transformative journey towards becoming a certified yoga teacher.
Our 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) course is designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to teach yoga authentically and safely.
Whether you are aspiring to become a yoga teacher or deepening your personal practice, this course will support your growth in both body and mind.
What You Will Learn
Over the course of 200 hours you will delve deep into the practice and teaching of yoga. You will not only master asanas but also understand the underlying philosophy that makes yoga a way of life. Our program is carefully crafted to offer a balance of theory and practical application, allowing you to embody the teachings fully.
Foundations of Asanas
You will be introduced to the foundational postures of yoga, with a focus on proper alignment, adjustments, and the safe progression of asanas. You will learn how to teach these postures to students of all levels, ensuring that they experience the physical benefits while minimising the risk of injury.
The Art of Sequencing
One of the most important aspects of teaching yoga is creating well-structured classes. You will learn the principles of sequencing, how to link postures creatively, and how to develop classes that are aligned with different themes, intentions, and student needs.
Pranayama and Breathwork
Breath is the life force in yoga. This course will guide you through the practice of pranayama, or breath control, and explore its profound impact on your physical and mental health. You'll learn how to integrate pranayama into your personal practice and how to teach it effectively to others.
Meditation and Mindfulness
In addition to physical postures and breathwork, you will be introduced to the practice of meditation and mindfulness. These tools will help you cultivate awareness, focus, and inner calm — essential for both personal well-being and teaching.
Yoga Philosophy
At its core, yoga is more than just physical movement. You will explore the ancient wisdom of yoga philosophy, including the Eight Limbs of Yoga as outlined in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. These teachings will help you understand the deeper meaning of yoga as a holistic practice that leads to self-awareness and personal transformation.
Understanding the Subtle Body
You will be introduced to the concept of the subtle body, including chakras, Nadis, and energy flows. You will learn how these elements influence your physical and mental health and how to work with them to support your overall well-being.
The Anatomy of Yoga
Understanding the human body is crucial for teaching yoga safely and effectively. You will study functional anatomy, focusing on the musculoskeletal system, joint movement, and how the body responds to different postures. This knowledge will help you tailor your classes to individual students' needs.
The Ethics of Teaching
Being a yoga teacher comes with great responsibility. In this course, you will learn about the ethical considerations of teaching, including the importance of creating a safe and inclusive environment for your students. You will also explore the qualities that make an inspiring and compassionate teacher.
Health Benefits of Yoga
This course will cover the physical, mental, and emotional advantages of regular yoga practice, including improved flexibility, strength, and stress reduction. You will gain a deeper understanding of how yoga promotes holistic well-being.
Building Your Teaching Skills
You will learn effective communication techniques, how to give hands-on adjustments, and how to hold space for your students. You will also have the opportunity to practice teaching, receive feedback, and refine your style in a supportive environment.
Creating Your Own Yoga Practice
While this course is focused on teaching others, it is also designed to deepen your personal yoga practice. You will be encouraged to explore your own practice on and off the mat, integrating yoga into your daily life as a tool for physical, mental, and spiritual growth.
Community and Connection
Throughout the training, you will be part of a supportive community of like-minded individuals. Together, you will create connections, share experiences, and grow in a nurturing environment. The friendships and bonds you form here will last long after the course is complete.
This 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training course is just the beginning of your lifelong journey with yoga. Upon completion, you will have the tools and confidence to teach yoga with authenticity and integrity. Whether you choose to teach or simply deepen your personal practice, this course will empower you to live a more balanced, mindful, and fulfilled life.
